Dear Friends, We appreciate your business, and we know you will love our plants.  Our philosophy in business has not changed in the 66 years since my Grandparents began Hartmann’s Nursery.  The goal is always to respect and satisfy our customers.  With that message, I will continue with the good news about our plants. Our new plants this year will add more beauty and interest to your garden and landscape.   On the front cover, our exclusive variety, ‘Pink Champagne,’ has the only pink blueberry. It has wonderful flavor and could easily become your favorite fruit. For the children, the perfect size blueberry bush, ‘Cara’s Choice’ will be their choice for sweetness.  Check out some of the more exotic plants; Lemon Grass, Wonderful Pomegranate, and Arbequina Olive.  These can make good house plants in the colder areas of the U.S., but they are fine landscape specimens in warmer climates, and they are good for you.  Two landscape plants to consider for the landscape are the Bearberry and the Daphne.  These evergreen ground hugging plants will fit in any landscape and display a stunning floral display. We decided to offer a cost effective alternative to feed plants the ‘Green Way’.   Our ‘Lacota Native Plant Fertilizer’ will feed every plant efficiently, creating healthy lawns to healthy trees using only natural elements.  This is a natural fertilizer safe for the environment, and easy on your pocketbook. Our plants are grown in Southwest Michigan.  The plants begin their life in our tissue culture laboratory so you can be assured that we are selling disease free plants.  Our staff nurtures all the plants in our 3 acres of state of the art greenhouses and 35 acres of outside irrigated nursery, to provide healthy plants to all of our customers.
